<\/p>\nDefibrillator Project<\/p>\n
This community takes its health seriously. As such we are working hard to fundraise for a Defibrillator to ensure that everyone: resident, visitor & worker has the opportunity to live the longest life possible.\u00a0 Our local pub the lovely Queen\u2019s Head has agreed to position the equipment in a prominent place on its property.<\/p>\n
The project will cost around \u00a31500 and has the honour of being our very first project in the pipeline to completion.\u00a0 We are around a third of the way towards the target at the moment but are redoubling efforts to ensure that the village doesn\u2019t go through another year without this equipment.\u00a0 Fortunately for us, in the meantime, we have a manual defibrillator in the shape of an ex fireman who, when a neighbour collapsed and effectively died in his garden, jumped into action and administered CPR until the paramedics arrived.\u00a0 That neighbour still gardens thanks to this stalwart effort but we cannot rely on our local hero to always be on call.\u00a0 Thank you anyway, you know who you are\u2026.<\/p>\n
Once we have got the equipment in place \u2013 hooray \u2013 we will be making sure that everyone including villagers, pub staff, dog walkers and local farmers are all trained in its correct use.<\/p>\n
A dedicated team of fundraisers has been formed to spearhead Defibrillator fundraising so watch this space, just about anything could happen to get us across the line.\u00a0 If you feel that you can help us in any way to raise the money or advise on the right equipment, please get in touch.<\/p>\n

Mae’r gymuned hon yn cymryd ei iechyd o ddifrif. O’r herwydd, rydym yn gweithio’n galed i godi arian ar gyfer Diffibriliwr er mwyn sicrhau bod pawb: preswylwyr, ymwelwyr a gweithwyr yn cael y cyfle i fyw y bywyd hiraf posibl. Yn ein tafarn leol mae’r Queen’s Head hyfryd wedi cytuno i osod yr offer mewn lle amlwg ar ei heiddo.<\/p>\n
Bydd y prosiect yn costio tua \u00a3 1500 ac mae’n anrhydedd mai ein prosiect cyntaf cyntaf ar y gweill yw ei gwblhau. Rydyn ni tua thraean o’r ffordd tuag at y targed ar hyn o bryd ond maent yn dyblu ymdrechion i sicrhau na fydd y pentref yn mynd trwy flwyddyn arall heb yr offer hwn. Yn ffodus i ni, yn y cyfamser, mae gennym ddiffibriliwr llaw yn si\u00e2p dyn t\u00e2n cyn, a phan fu cymydog yn cwympo ac wedi marw yn effeithiol yn ei ardd, neidiodd i weithredu a gweinyddodd CPR nes i’r parafeddygon gyrraedd. Mae\u2019r cymydog yn dal i arddio ddiolch i’r ymdrech fawr hon, ond ni allwn ddibynnu ar ein harwr lleol i fod ar alwad bob amser. Diolch, beth bynnag, chi’n gwybod pwy ydych chi ….<\/p>\n
